**Definition:** Stage II includes: IIA: T2, N0, M0; IIB: T3, N0, M0. T2: Tumor invades the muscularis propria, or measures more than 2 cm in greatest dimension with invasion of the mucosa or submucosa. T3: Tumor invades through the muscularis propria into subserosal tissue without penetration of overlying serosa. N0: No involvement of regional lymph node(s). M0: No distant metastasis. (AJCC 9th ed.)
