**Definition:** Human lnc-HLX-2 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 1q41 and is approximately 22 kb in length. This allele, which encodes 11 long noncoding RNA transcripts, including lnc-HLX-2-7, may be involved in the regulation of HLX gene expression. Aberrant increased expression of lnc-HLX-2-7 is associated with group 3 (non-WNT/non-SHH) medulloblastomas.
