CpG-Stimulated Karyotyping

**Definition:** A karyotyping procedure where white blood cells are extracted from a peripheral blood sample and subjected to treatment with cytidine monophosphate guanosine (CpG) oligodeoxynucleotides (OGN) prior to preparation of the chromosome spread. CpG OGN treatment can stimulate DNA methylation and chromatin remodeling, which may enhance the detection of chromosomal abnormalities.
