**Definition:** The area of the body that is located under the chin; it is bordered superiorly by the mylohyoid muscle, inferiorly by the platysma muscle, laterally by the anterior bellies of the digastric muscles, anteriorly by the mandible, and posteriorly by the hyoid bone.
