**Definition:** A radioconjugate composed of EVS459, a folate receptor alpha (FRa; FolRa; FOLR1)-targeting moiety, radiolabeled with the beta-emitting radioisotope lutetium Lu 177 (177Lu), with potential antineoplastic activity. Upon administration of lutetium Lu 177-EVS459, the FOLR1-targeting moiety targets and binds to FOLR1 expressed on tumor cells. Upon binding, FOLR1-expressing tumor cells are destroyed by 177Lu through the specific delivery of beta particle radiation. FOLR1 is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol linked cell-surface glycoprotein that is widely expressed in certain cancers while its expression is limited in normal tissues.
