Allogeneic Anti-CD19 CAR Double-negative T Cells RJMty19

**Semantic type:** Cell|Pharmacologic Substance

**Definition:** An off-the-shelf (OTS) cell preparation composed of healthy, donor-derived CD4 and CD8 double-negative T-lymphocytes (DNTs) that are transduced with a lentiviral vector expressing a humanized chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting the human tumor-associated antigen (TAA) CD19, with potential immunomodulating and antineoplastic activities. Upon administration, the allogeneic anti-CD19 CAR DNTs RJMty19 specifically targets and binds to tumor cells expressing CD19. This induces selective toxicity in tumor cells that express CD19. CD19 is a B-cell-specific cell surface antigen overexpressed in B-cell lineage malignancies. The DNTs contain a high proportion of stem cell-like memory T cells (Tscm).
