EWSR1/SMARCA5 Fusion Protein

**Definition:** A fusion protein encoded by the EWSR1/SMARCA5 fusion gene. This protein is comprised of the N-terminal transactivational and serine-tyrosine-glutamine-glycine-rich (SYGG) domains of the RNA-binding protein EWS followed by the SWI/SNF-related matrix-associated actin-dependent regulator of chromatin subfamily A member 5 protein, including the following five conserved domains: 1) the SNF2 helicase N-terminal ATPase domain, including the DEAH box, 2) the SrmB helicase C-terminal domain, 3) the C-terminal DNA and nucleosome binding IWSI/Hand domain, 4) the DNA binding Slide domain, and 5) two DNA-binding SANT domains.
