CIC/LEUTX Fusion Gene

**Definition:** A fusion gene that results from an as of yet unidentified chromosomal rearrangement involving 19q13.2 that fuses exon 20 of the CIC gene with exon 3 of the LEUTX gene. CIC/LEUTX fusion genes may harbor CIC missense mutations. This fusion is associated with angiosarcoma, anaplastic ganglioglioma, anaplastic astrocytoma with epithelioid glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) features and CIC-rearranged sarcomas.
