CIC/NUTM1 Fusion Gene

**Definition:** A fusion gene that results from a chromosomal translocation t(15;19)(q14;q13.2) which fuses the first 17 exons of the CIC gene with intron 4 of the NUTM1 gene. This rearrangement may be associated with NUT-rearranged midline carcinoma and CIC-rearranged sarcoma.
