WDR35 wt Allele

**Definition:** Human WDR35 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 2p24.1 and is approximately 80 kb in length. This allele, which encodes WD repeat-containing protein 35, plays a role in apoptosis, ciliogenesis and ciliary protein trafficking. Mutations in the gene are associated with cranioectodermal dysplasia 2 and short-rib thoracic dysplasia 7 with or without polydactyly.
