p21 Gene Activator saRNA RAG-01

**Definition:** A small activating RNA (saRNA) targeting the tumor suppressor gene p21, with potential antineoplastic activity. Upon intravesical instillation of p21 gene activator saRNA RAG-01, the saRNA targets and activates the expression of the p21 gene and restores p21 therapeutic protein levels. This may decrease bladder tumor cell growth. Downregulation of p21 plays a key role in tumorigenesis. p21 is crucial for regulating the progression of the cell cycle and plays an essential role in halting the proliferation of cancer cells.
