**Definition:** An astrocytoma that arises from the neurosensory retina and is morphologically similar to subependymal giant cell astrocytoma. It is characterized by the presence of large tumor cells with abundant glassy eosinophilic cytoplasm, round nuclei, and prominent nucleoli.
