**Definition:** A radioconjugate composed of a glypican-3 (GPC3; GPC-3)-binding peptide conjugated to the alpha-emitting radioisotope actinium Ac 225, with potential antineoplastic activity against GPC3-expressing tumor cells. Upon administration of actinium Ac 225 GPC3-targeted peptide RYZ801, the GPC3-binding moiety targets and binds to GPC3-expressing tumor cells. Upon binding, GPC3-expressing tumor cells are destroyed by a cytotoxic dose of alpha radiation. GPC3, a heparan sulfate proteoglycan and a member of the glypican family, is overexpressed on certain tumor cell types while minimally expressed in normal, healthy cells. GPC3 plays an important role in tumor cell proliferation in various tumor cell types.
