**Definition:** Protein E7 (98 aa, ~11 kDa) is encoded by the HPV-52 E7 gene. This protein is involved in the promotion of viral genome replication by the host cell DNA replicating machinery and the inhibition of both antiviral and antiproliferative signaling by host-expressed interferon alpha.
