**Definition:** An intraoral wipe formulation containing the natural sweetener xylitol, with protective, saliva producing and moisturizing activities. Upon application, the xylitol-containing oral wipe hydrates the mouth and relieves the symptoms of dry mouth. This may protect against cavities. This may also keep the oral mucosal barrier intact and potentially prevent mucosal barrier injury-related bloodstream infections.
