Anti-FGFR3 Antibody-drug Conjugate BHV-1530

**Definition:** An antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) composed of a monoclonal antibody directed against human fibroblast growth factor receptor type 3 (FGFR3) conjugated, via a cleavable linker, to a topoisomerase 1 inhibitor (TOP1i), with potential antineoplastic activity. Upon administration of anti-FGFR3 ADC BHV-1530, the anti-FGFR3 antibody moiety targets and binds to FGFR3 expressed on tumor cells. Upon binding, linker cleavage and the release of the TOP1i, the TOP1i targets and binds to DNA topoisomerase 1, thereby inhibiting DNA replication and killing the FGFR3-expressing tumor cells. FGFR3, a receptor tyrosine kinase upregulated or mutated in many tumor cell types, plays a key role in tumor cell proliferation.
