Elizabethkingia anophelis

**Definition:** A species of yellow pigmented, Gram negative, rod shaped bacterium in the phylum Bacteroidetes. This species is primarily found in the midgut of the Anopheles mosquito. E. meningoceptica is pathogenic, being the causative agent of neonatal meningitis.
