**Definition:** A cancer predisposition syndrome inherited in an autosomal dominant manner and associated with germline mutations in RAD51 paralogs (RAD51C, RAD51D, RAD51B). Affected individuals are at an increased risk of developing ovarian high-grade serous adenocarcinoma and breast carcinoma. Other cancers include pancreatic carcinoma and prostate carcinoma.
