Phosphorylated Transcriptional Intermediary Factor 1-Beta
**Semantic type:** Amino Acid, Peptide, or Protein
**Definition:** A post-translationally modified form of transcription intermediary factor 1-beta protein (TRIM28) where one or more residues are phosphorylated, including serine-440, serine-473, serine-501, serine-824, tyrosine-44, tyrosine-458, and tyrosine-517. Phosphorylation of TRIM28 may downregulate its gene silencing and enzymatic activities, which in turn may enhance DNA damage response (DDR) pathways, increase cell survival and promote tumor cell growth.
**Synonyms:** - Phospho-TIF1-Beta - Phospho-TRIM28 - Phosphorylated E3 SUMO-Protein Ligase TRIM28 - Phosphorylated KAP-1 - Phosphorylated KRAB-Associated Protein 1 - Phosphorylated KRAB-Interacting Protein 1 - Phosphorylated KRIP-1 - Phosphorylated TIF1-Beta - Phosphorylated Tripartite Motif-Containing Protein 28
