Lipid Nanoparticle-encapsulated TAAs mRNA Vaccine EVM14
**Semantic type:** Immunologic Factor|Pharmacologic Substance
**Definition:** An off-the-shelf cancer vaccine consisting of lipid nanoparticle (LNP) encapsulating messenger RNAs (mRNAs) encoding five tumor-associated antigens (TAAs) specific for multiple cancer types, with potential immunomodulating and antineoplastic activities. Upon intramuscular administration of LNP-encapsulated TAAs mRNA vaccine EVM14, the LNP binds to the plasma membrane of antigen-presenting cells (APCs) and releases the mRNAs into the cells. The mRNAs are then translated by ribosomes to produce the TAAs. The TAAs are presented to the immune system which may activate both humoral and cellular immune responses against cancer cells expressing these TAAs.
**Synonyms:** - EVM 14 - EVM-14 - EVM14 - LNP-encapsulated TAAs mRNA Vaccine EVM14 - mRNA-LNP Cancer Vaccine EVM14
