Pancreaticobiliary Neoplasm, Low-Risk/Grade

**Definition:** A term that is used for pancreaticobiliary neoplasms examined with fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) and refers to rare spindle cell neoplasms that do not exhibit atypical or malignant cytological features, and in which a benign diagnosis is expected but a definitive diagnosis cannot be established. FNAB of such neoplasms usually reveals scant spindle cells without atypical features with or without adipose tissue. Without further testing that includes immunohistochemistry and molecular analysis, a specific diagnosis cannot be made. Examples include schwannomas, neurofibromas, paragangliomas, lipomas, and leiomyomas.
