**Definition:** An aluminum hydroxide-adsorbed depot allergoid preparation of standardized high concentrations of the house dust mite allergen Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus or Dermatophagoides farinae alone, or in combination, that can be used for the desensitization of dust mite allergy. Upon subcutaneous administration, house dust mite allergen(s) in the preparation may induce immunologic tolerance, which may improve symptoms associated with the exposure to the dust mite allergen(s).
