Ganglion Cyst

**Definition:** A unilocular or multilocular palpable cystic lesion that usually occurs in the hands, wrists, knees, ankles, and feet, and develops from cystic degenerative changes in a joint capsule or tendon sheath. It contains mucoid material and there are no cells lining the cyst. It may or may not be associated with pain.
