This protein is involved in the reduction of hydrogen peroxide, cumene hydroperoxide, tert-butyl hydroperoxide, phospholipid hydroperoxide, cholesterol hydroperoxide, thymine hydroperoxide and fatty acid-derived hydroperoxides.
