**Definition:** A provisional response category in the International Working Group (IWG) 2023 response criteria for myelodysplastic syndromes defined by bone marrow blast reduction to less than 5% with morphologic remission and hematologic recovery in only one peripheral blood cell lineage, with persistent cytopenias in the remaining lineages.
