In Situ Hybridization Staining Method

**Definition:** A staining procedure which detects and indicates the location of specific nucleic acid sequences in a tissue or cellular sample. The DNA or RNA sequence of interest in the host cell is detected by hybridization with a labeled cDNA, RNA or modified nucleic acid-containing probe.
