Diff-Quik Staining Method
**Semantic type:** Laboratory Procedure
**Definition:** A commercial modification of Wright Giemsa staining for rapidly staining and differentiation of cells in blood and non-gynecological smears, bone marrow biopsies and smears, and touch preps. It is also used in the detection of Helicobacter pylori. This technique reduces the process to a simplified 15 second operation.
