Technetium Tc-99m Human Serum Albumin Colloid
**Semantic type:** Amino Acid, Peptide, or Protein|Indicator, Reagent, or Diagnostic Aid|Pharmacologic Substance
**Definition:** A colloid formulation of human serum albumin (HSA) labeled with Technetium-99m (Tc-99m) with diagnostic imaging properties. This HSA radioconjugate contains the gamma-emitting Tc99m, a metastable nuclide of molybdenum-99. A potential advantage of the Tc-99m-HSA suspension is its smaller colloid particle size as compared to formulations containing either sulfur or tin, thereby allowing for enhanced imaging of the lymphatic draining pattern during lymphoscintigraphic or sentinel lymph node mapping procedures.
**Synonyms:** - 99mTc-Colloidal Albumin - 99mTc-labeled Albumin Nanocolloid - Nanocoll - Tc 99m Human Serum Albumin Colloid - Tc-99m-labeled Nanocolloid Human Serum Albumin
