Radiation-Induced Stomatitis

**Definition:** Inflammation of the mouth mucosa caused by head and neck radiation therapy. Signs and symptoms include dry mouth due to lack of saliva, mucosal ulcerations and diffuse erythema of the mouth, taste alteration, and dysphagia.
