**Semantic type:** Cell or Molecular Dysfunction

**Definition:** A cytogenetic abnormality that refers to the translocation of the long arm (q13) of chromosome 11 and the long arm (q32) of chromosome 14. It results in up-regulation of cyclin D1 and is the most common translocation detected in multiple myeloma.
