Human gp100 Plasmid DNA Vaccine

**Definition:** A vaccine consisting of a plasmid DNA encoding the human melanoma-associated antigen gp100. Upon administration, expressed gp100 antigen may stimulate a cytotoxic T cell HLA-A2.1-restricted immune response against tumor cells that express this antigen, resulting in tumor cell lysis.
