**Definition:** A chromosomal translocation involving breakpoints within the p11 band on the short arm of chromosome 2 and the q24 band on the long arm of chromosome 8. This rearrangement is associated with aberrant expression of the MYC or PVT1 genes and Burkitt lymphoma.
