MART-1 Adenovirus Vaccine

**Definition:** A vaccine consisting of recombinant adenovirus vector encoding MART-1 (melanoma antigen recognized by T-cells 1), an immunogenic protein of unknown function that is expressed by certain types of melanoma. Vaccination with MART-1 adenovirus vaccine may stimulate the host immune system to direct cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) against MART-1 positive melanoma cells, resulting in an antitumor effect.
