**Definition:** A myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative neoplasm that does not meet the criteria of other myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative neoplasms, myelodysplastic syndromes, and myeloproliferative neoplasms. It is associated with cytopenia, blasts less than 20% in bone marrow and peripheral blood, thrombocytosis, and absence of genetic abnormalities associated with myeloid/lymphoid neoplasms with eosinophilia and tyrosine kinase gene fusions.
