Stage IIIC
**Semantic type:** Clinical Attribute
**Definition:** Cancer that has spread to nearby organs but not to distant anatomic sites. The definition of stage IIIC depends on the particular type of cancer that it refers to; for example, for ovarian cancer, stage IIIC includes: T3c, N0/N1, M0. T3c: Ovarian cancer with macroscopic peritoneal metastasis beyond the pelvis more than 2 cm in greatest dimension with or without metastasis to the retroperitoneal lymph nodes (includes extension of tumor to capsule of liver and spleen without parenchymal involvement of either organ). N0: No regional lymph node metastasis. N1: Positive retroperitoneal lymph nodes only (histologically confirmed). M0: No distant metastasis. (AJCC 8th Ed.)
