gp100 Peptide-sensitized Autologous T-cells (CD4+ and CD8+)
**Semantic type:** Cell|Pharmacologic Substance
**Definition:** A population of CD4+ and CD8+ T-cells isolated from a cancer patient that have been sensitized in vitro to the melanoma-associated antigen gp100. Infusion of gp100 peptide-sensitized autologous T-cells into the cancer patient may stimulate the host immune system to mount a cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) response against gp100-positive tumor cells, thereby decreasing tumor growth.
