Centromedian Nucleus of the Thalamus

**Definition:** One of a pair of nuclei of the intralaminar nucleus of the dorsal thalamus, which receives afferent fibers from the cerebral cortex, vestibular nuclei, globus pallidus, superior colliculus, reticular formation, and spinothalamic tract, and sends efferent fibers to the subthalamic nucleus and putamen.
