Rhabdomyoma

**Definition:** A benign mesenchymal tumor that arises from striated (skeletal or cardiac) muscle cells and is characterized by the presence of large rounded or polygonal cells (adult extracardiac rhabdomyoma and cardiac rhabdomyoma) or immature spindle cells (fetal extracardiac rhabdomyoma).
