Anocutaneous Line

**Definition:** A demarcating line distal to the pectinate (dentate) line that serves as a landmark for the intermuscular border between the internal and external anal sphincters. Additionally, it separates the proximal non-keratinized and distal keratinized stratified squamous epithelium of the lower anal canal.
