**Definition:** An uncommon inflammatory skin condition, often associated with diabetes mellitus, that is characterized by the formation of multiple shiny atrophic lesions thought to be due to collagen degeneration with a granulomatous response, thickening of blood vessel walls, and fat deposition. The lesions are usually found on the leg.
