Henoch-Schönlein Purpura

**Definition:** A systemic, usually self-limited immune complex vasculitis, characterized by immunoglobulin A deposition in the small vessels and kidneys. It is manifested with small hemorrhages in the skin, gastrointestinal symptoms, arthritis, and nephropathy.
