**Definition:** A morphologic category that includes neoplasms arising from cells that form and support the nervous system. Such neoplasms include neuroepithelial cell neoplasms and neoplasms that arise from the perineural sheaths (perineurial cell neoplasms and Schwann cell neoplasms).
