**Definition:** HPV-negative vulvar squamous intraepithelial proliferation characterized by atypia of the basal and parabasal keratinocytes in an otherwise well-differentiated epithelium. Despite its subtle appearance, it has a high risk of malignant transformation. (WHO 2020)
