**Definition:** A chromosomal translocation involving the p24 band on the short arm of chromosome 9 and the p13 band on the short arm of chromosome 12. This rearrangement is associated with ETV6-JAK2 fusion gene expression and acute myeloid leukemia or expression of SMARCA2-ZNF384 or ATF7IP-JAK2 fusion genes and acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoblastic lymphoma.
