**Definition:** A chromosomal translocation involving the p24 band on the short arm of chromosome 9 and the q11 band on the long arm of chromosome 22. This rearrangement is associated with BCR-JAK2 fusion gene fusion gene expression and myeloproliferative neoplasm/myelodysplastic syndrome.
