**Definition:** A slow-growing, low-grade meningioma with favorable prognosis. This category includes angiomatous meningiomas, fibrous meningiomas, lymphoplasmacyte-rich meningiomas, meningothelial meningiomas, metaplastic meningiomas, microcystic meningiomas, psammomatous meningiomas, secretory meningiomas, and transitional meningiomas. It may recur in a small minority of cases following resection.
