Gastric Intraepithelial Neoplasia

**Semantic type:** Neoplastic Process

**Definition:** A neoplastic epithelial process that is confined to the gastric mucosa and is characterized by the presence of epithelial dysplasia and architectural changes. There is no invasion of the basement membrane, and it is graded as low grade (mild dysplasia) or high grade (moderate dysplasia and carcinoma in situ).
