**Definition:** Bone Formation Inhibition involves interference with, or restraint of, synthesis by osteoblasts of the hard connective tissue that constitutes the vertebrate skeleton and consists of a matrix of collagenous fibers impregnated chiefly with calcium phosphate and calcium carbonate.
