Norepinephrine Secretion Inhibition
**Semantic type:** Phenomenon or Process
**Definition:** Norepinephrine Secretion Inhibition consists of interference with, or restraint of, the activities involved in release into the bloodstream of a catecholamine hormone and sympathetic neurotransmitter (norepinephrine) involved in stimulation of alpha-adrenergic (vasoconstriction), beta(1)-adrenergic (increase myocardial contractility, heart rate, and AV conduction), and beta(2)-adrenergic (peripheral vasodilation) activity.
