Verrucous Venous Malformation
**Semantic type:** Disease or Syndrome
**Definition:** A rare skin vascular malformation characterized by the proliferation of numerous dilated and congested capillaries and venules in the papillary dermis. It is associated with overlying epidermal acanthosis, hyperkeratosis, parakeratosis, and papillomatosis. It most often affects the distal extremities and manifests with red-to-purple plaques.
